Terms of service.

1. Your account

You must be at least 18 years old. You are responsible for what happens on your account and for keeping access to it secure. Use a real enough identity that the people meeting you know who they are meeting.

2. Meeting people, and running

This is the important one. Runstra lists runs and events that other people have posted. We do not vet who turns up, and we do not supervise anything that happens at a meeting point. Treat a run the way you would treat any plan with someone you met online: meet in a public place, tell somebody where you are going, and leave if it feels wrong.

Runstra is not a medical device and gives no training advice. Running carries a risk of injury. Decide for yourself whether you are fit for a given run or race, obey traffic laws, and take care of your own safety. You take part at your own risk.

3. Hosting a run

If you post a run, you are saying you intend to be there. You choose who it is for: public, friends only, or members of your club. You can remove anyone from a run you host without giving a reason.

4. Clubs

Club admins decide who joins and what gets posted to members. Running a club means taking responsibility for what appears under its name, including its cover, logo, photos and any link it points members at.

Clubs and runs can be marked women only, and only people whose profile says they are women can join them. Do not give a false gender to get in, and do not mark something women only and then admit people it was not meant for. Either will cost you your account.

5. Races

Runstra lists races run by other organisers so you can see who else is going. We do not sell race entries. Enter the race takes you to the organiser’s own site, and your entry, payment and the race itself are between you and that organiser, on their terms.

6. Events and paid places

Some events in the app are hosted by clubs or by Runstra, and some of them have a price. Runstra staff check every event before it is listed, but the organiser named on the event is responsible for running it.

• What you pay. The price and any booking fee are shown before you pay. Payments are handled by our payment partner, and your place is confirmed only once the payment goes through.
• If you cancel. Each event shows its refund rule before you pay: a full refund, half back, or no refund, up to a cut-off time before the start. The booking fee is not refunded when you cancel.
• If the organiser cancels. You get everything back, booking fee included.
• How refunds arrive. Refunds go back the way you paid, or to a UPI ID you give us if that is not possible. Banks usually take up to 7 working days.
• If something goes wrong on the day, tell us through the app or by email. We will look into it with the organiser.

7. Hosting paid events

If you host an event that charges for places, you agree to run it as described and to honour the refund rule you chose. Before you can be paid, you give us payout details (your PAN, bank account and, for a business, a GSTIN) and we check them.

Payouts go out after the event, not before, less the fees shown to you when you set the price. If you cancel, everyone who paid is refunded in full. We may hold a payout while a complaint about the event is looked into. You are responsible for your own taxes on what you earn.

8. Your content

You keep ownership of what you post: your runs, your profile, your photos. You grant Runstra a licence to store and show that content in the app to the audience you chose, and on the shared link pages for anything public, for as long as you keep it posted. Only upload photos you have the right to use, and only post photos of other people if they are happy to be in them.

9. Acceptable use

• No harassment, threats, or turning up somewhere to bother someone.
• No sexual, violent, hateful or illegal content, in photos or text.
• No impersonating another person, club or organiser, and no fake runs or events.
• No taking payment for a run or event outside the app while presenting it as a Runstra event.
• No using the app to advertise, scrape it, or automate accounts on it.

You can block anyone, and report a person, club, event or photo from its menu. We review reports within 24 hours and remove what breaks these rules. We may suspend or delete accounts that break them.

10. Availability

Runstra is free to use. Paid events cost what is shown on them, and nothing else in the app is for sale. Features can change, and the service can be interrupted. We do not promise that a run you were counting on will still be listed, or that a notification will always arrive.

11. Our responsibility

We provide the app as it is. As far as the law allows, Runstra is not responsible for injury, loss or damage that comes from taking part in a run, race or event, or from what other people do there. Where we are responsible for a paid place, our responsibility is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under Indian consumer law.

12. Ending it

You can delete your account from inside the app at any time. See how to delete your account. We may end your access if you break these terms. Refunds you are owed are still paid after either.

13. Privacy

What the app collects, and what it deliberately does not, is set out in the privacy policy.

14. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts in Mumbai deal with any dispute about them.

15. Changes

We will tell you in the app if these terms change in a way that matters.
